Specialised system for contaminated surfaces
The problem - a large rail-bound transport vehicle drives into a black area through a double airlock. The surface must be cleaned of spores and dust in order to be allowed to go outside again after the unloading process.
A washing sluice was designed and built for this purpose, which hydraulically washes the outer surfaces and the underbody. A mixture of low- and medium-pressure pumps is used here to achieve a sufficient washing result.
In addition, the washing sluice was integrated into the control system of the entire installation and could be monitored and controlled from the control centre.
To ensure that the washed vehicles have been thoroughly cleaned, process monitoring parameters have been introduced which can be used to measure, evaluate and document the decontamination result.
